Sri Sakthi Peetam temple and its traditional sacred architecture

Home/The Peetam

The Peetam

Divinity, amidst nature.

A living sanctuary of Devi worship, contemplative silence, and dharmic participation beside historic Rayala Cheruvu.

A sacred home

Rooted in devotion.
Open to every seeker.

Sri Sakthi Peetam stands near Rayala Cheruvu, around 14 kilometres from Tirupati, within a tranquil two-acre green expanse at the foothills of the Seshachalam hills.

The historic lake and the Tirumala landscape give the Peetam a distinctive stillness. Local sacred tradition speaks of siddhas who gather at the waters before offering their worship to Lord Venkateswara.

Here, temple ritual and the stillness of nature meet. Devotees come to pray, participate in sevas, receive guidance, and find a gentler rhythm away from everyday noise.

The origin

A calling that became a Peetam.

The Peetam’s own account remembers its beginning as a convergence of divine indication, a guru’s guidance, and a place prepared for Shakti worship. Its founding observances were conducted across 1–3 August by Poojya Swamiji and Sri Mathaji.

A call of the Divine Mother

Inner guidance

Sri Mathaji experienced repeated spiritual indications connected with Kali Devi and the sacred landscape of Rayala Cheruvu.

Vision takes form

Poojya Swamiji visited the place, recognised its spiritual purpose, and guided the establishment of Sri Sakthi Peetam.

Consecration

A sacred assembly

Distinctive forms of Devi and allied deities were consecrated, creating a temple where many paths of worship meet.

The sacred assembly

Many forms.
One infinite Shakti.

The worship of Sri Marakatha Sakthi Kaali and Sri Marakatha Siddheswara stands at the heart of the Peetam.

The sacred assembly also includes Sri Paathala Svetha Vaaraahi, Sri Adharvana Pratyangira, Sri Swarna Kubera, the Dasa Mahavidyas, Sri Kalabhairava, Radha Krishna, Sakthi Ganapathi, Sakthidhara Subrahmanya, Malayala Hanuman, Mutyalamma, and Shirdi Sai Baba.

Earlier Peetam material also records Sri Chakra Mahameru and Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya as part of the sacred assembly.
